Real Nice Organic came about when founder, Crystal, decided that there was no choice on summer days for her 3 children. Crystal was also brought up on a macrobiotic diet so she wanted to pass this on to her children who were reluctant to eat fruit. | ||

I started our Company to give our children a choice. They love
lollies just like other kids, but I wanted them to have the option to
indulge, without ingesting chemicals, additives or preservatives.
The idea came to me when I was on holiday recently. In scorching heat, I could hardly refuse requests for ice lollies but, in no time at all, with mouths stained blue from colorants, the children were bouncing about the beach in a state of hyper-activity. A closer look at the lollies' ingredients revealed a long list of additives and very high sugar content. I have an added problem in that our eldest child is asthmatic. Even on hot summer days, I have to say 'no' to ice cream, as dairy products tend to induce a coughing fit. Ice lollies with additives can also aggravate conditions such as asthma, eczema and allergies. When I returned to England, I searched for a more natural option, but, to our dismay, nothing much better seemed to be on offer. So, I decided to make our own! |

I believe that going back to pure and honest ingredients will guarantee
our children better choice, better general health and freedom from the
ever-increasing threat of obesity in the future.
I haven't cut any corners or made any compromises - ingredients are just pure fruit on a stick. I think they're delicious. More importantly, our kids do too. Now our younger son (a carbs man who is an awkward eats little fruit or veg), eats three Real Nice ice lollies a day. All three children now enjoy this 'special treat' with no ill effects - and we, the parents, have peace of mind! |
